Polya-Aeppli Shocks

In these notes we consider a P\'olya-Aeppli sequenceof exponentially distributed random variables and define the shocksas upper record values. We derive the distribution of the recordvalues in the case on non-identically distributed variables andapply it to the defined sequence. Moreover the distribution ofthe record moments, the number of records and the number of zeros are also obtained.Downloads
