The Conference Biomath 2016
Abstract
As the Biological Sciences and the Mathematical Sciences find more and more ways of relating to each other, the interdisciplinary field generally refereed to as Biomathematics continues to grow. The Biomath conferences are proud to contribute to this development by providing a meeting forum for scientists from different disciplines and from different countries, who develop and apply mathematical and computational tools to studyВ phenomena in the broad fields of life sciences.
Biomath 2016 is indeed international as it attracted participants from 22 countries: Bulgaria, Cameroon, Canada, France, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Netherland, Nigeria, Philippines, Poland, Romania, South Africa, Turkey, UAE, UK, Ukraine, USA.
An international and multidisciplinary conference like Biomath can be organised only through the efforts of many. The growing support from academic units of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Bulgarian Universities has been and is the main engine behind the success of the Biomath series. The conference is for a second consecutive time hosted by the South West University in Blagoevgrad at its University Center "Bachinovo". The support of the University and the hard work of the local team is acknowledged with gratitude.
Biomath conferences have a strong emphasis on supporting and promoting young scientist. In this regard, we need to acknowledge the support provided to young scientists by the Bulgarian Fund for Scientific Research, the South African DST/NRF SARChI Chair in Mathematical Models and Methods in Bioengineering and Biosciences at University of Pretoria, the Society for Mathematical Biology, the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad.В We are grateful to all members of the Program and Organizing Committees as well as to the International Steering Committee for their active help.
Biomath organisers pay special attention to the publication of the presented scientific communications. Original papers based on the presentations in Biomath 2016 are invited for submission to the following journals: BIOMATH, Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Bulgarian Chemical Communications. We request the support of all participants for high quality publications.
We wish all participants productive time at the conference. We hope that Biomath 2016 will have a stimulating effect on your research and future career.
